Augmeta for Adobe Analytics: an AI agent that finds out why a KPI moved
Augmeta connects to Adobe Analytics through a service account that your Adobe administrator creates, so an AI Operator can query your metrics, dimensions, segments and report suites and investigate why a KPI moved. It sits on top of the Adobe Analytics you already run. Adobe Analytics keeps your data and your reports. The Operator takes each question further: why the number moved, what it is worth, and what to change, with your team setting the goals and guardrails.
Can you ask your Adobe Analytics data questions in plain language?
Yes. Once Adobe Analytics is connected, you ask in conversation and the Operator queries your implementation for the answer. These are examples from Augmeta’s documentation:
The Operator understands Adobe Analytics terminology, so you can use metric and dimension names exactly as they appear in your implementation. Be specific about date ranges and metrics, and the answer is more precise.
What can an Operator read in Adobe Analytics?
| What | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Metrics and dimensions | Page views, visits, revenue, conversion rates, campaign performance, and any other metric or dimension in your implementation |
| Segments | Listing, searching and applying your Adobe Analytics segments to a question |
| Report suites | Queries across several report suites, if your organization uses more than one |
| Analysis Workspace projects | Information about your projects and how they are configured |
How does Augmeta connect to Adobe Analytics?
The connection uses server-to-server OAuth with a service account. It is set up once for the team, and only organization administrators can configure it.
What changes when the Operator can see more than Adobe Analytics?
A KPI question rarely stays inside one tool. Augmeta works on top of the tools a digital team already has, so an Operator reads across Adobe Analytics, PostHog, FullStory, Quantum Metric, BigQuery, Power BI, GitHub, Jira, Asana, Confluence and Slack, and combines what it finds. You can ask a question that spans systems, for example: “Did the Jira deployment last Tuesday correlate with our traffic drop in Adobe?”
The Operator does not treat that as settled. A release that came before a decline is not proof that it caused it, so it says which of the two the evidence supports. The approach is described in What is Agentic KPI Ops?
What happens after the answer?
Augmeta does not stop at an insight. Inside the goals and guardrails your team sets, an Operator can propose a configuration change to remedy what it found, open a Jira issue with the bug report or improvement already written up, or coordinate the team that makes the change. Then it checks whether the fix worked. What runs on its own, what needs approval and what stays with a person is a setting, not a fixed answer.
Is an Adobe MCP connection enough?
Connecting a model to Adobe Analytics is the easy part, and most enterprise tools can be connected to a model. The connection is only the interface. What makes an answer worth acting on is what happens behind it: which KPI is being watched, whether a theory is tested before it is explained, and whether the work is carried through to a fix and checked. Augmeta’s integration uses the Adobe Analytics API with the service account described above, and the Operator does that work on top of it.

Frequently asked questions
Can I talk to my Adobe Analytics data with AI?
Yes. Once Adobe Analytics is connected to Augmeta, you ask questions in plain language and an Operator queries your implementation for the answer, for example “Break down revenue by marketing channel for Q1”.
What does Augmeta need to connect to Adobe Analytics?
Service account credentials from a project in the Adobe Developer Console that has access to the Adobe Analytics API (server-to-server OAuth): a Client ID, a Client Secret and an Organization ID, plus your report suite IDs. An organization administrator enters them once under Settings, then Integrations, and the connection is shared by the team.
Which parts of Adobe Analytics can an Operator read?
Metrics and dimensions, segments, report suites, and information about your Analysis Workspace projects and how they are configured.
Does Augmeta replace Adobe Analytics?
No. Adobe Analytics stays your system of record. Augmeta works on top of it, together with the other analytics, session replay, ticketing and warehouse tools your team already uses, so nothing has to be re-instrumented.
How does Augmeta find out why a KPI moved in Adobe Analytics?
It starts from your metrics and segments, checks whether the movement is real or a tracking problem, and then looks at the cuts and at releases and tickets from your other connected tools. It says which explanation the evidence supports, and keeps a release that came before a decline separate from proof that it caused it.
Does Augmeta train models on my Adobe Analytics data?
No. Augmeta uses foundation models through their APIs and does not fine-tune or train models on customer data. Each organization’s data is strictly isolated.
